Sandra Middel is a passionate Ethics & Compliance professional with nearly 20 years of experience. She is currently the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Axpo, the largest energy provider in Switzerland.

Prior she served as the Head of Group Compliance at Clariant, where she directed Ethics & Integrity, Data Privacy, and Information Security on a global scale. Before Clariant, Sandra was the Regional Compliance Officer for EMEA at Syngenta, where she established the Compliance Management System for the region. Her career in compliance began in Russia with ING, where she set the foundation for ethical standards in a challenging market.

Sandra is the Chairwoman of Ethics and Compliance Switzerland (ECS), she also serves as the Chair of the Compliance Working Group at Swissholdings, leading industry-wide compliance working group and initiatives for Swiss-based multinational enterprises.
