Due Diligence Decoded – Private Sector versus Regulated Banking
We are pleased to invite you to our conference “Due Diligence Decoded – Private Sector versus Regulated Banking”, where leading compliance professionals will explore current trends shaping due diligence requirements under Swiss law and international standards. This event is co-organized with Baker & Mc Kenzie Switzerland.
In Switzerland, banks operate under increasingly demanding regulatory expectations in areas such as AML, sanctions, KYC, etc. These obligations continue to strengthen year after year, requiring institutions to adopt more structured, technology‑supported and forward‑looking compliance frameworks.
Beyond the financial sector, similar due diligence standards are rapidly spreading to private and non‑regulated industries. Companies in sectors such as commodities, pharmaceuticals and life sciences now face rising expectations in anti‑bribery controls, sanctions compliance and supply‑chain due diligence, driven primarily by heightened scrutiny from regulatory bodies and enforcement authorities in Switzerland and abroad.
Our panel will feature Philippe Fleury (Group Head of Compliance at Pictet Group), Samantha Miller (Head of Anti-Bribery at Gunvor), as well as Simon Ntah (Partner at Baker McKenzie). Together, they will offer practical insights and a market‑driven perspective on how both regulated and private‑sector players can anticipate emerging trends and strengthen their due diligence processes.
