Join us online – Integrated Assurance in Practice, From Fragmented Controls to Real Governance Value
24 February 2026 at 16:00h to 17:00h CET
The presentation explores how organisations can create real governance value through an integrated assurance approach. Drawing on practical experience, it shows why effective governance can only be achieved when risk management, internal controls, compliance and internal audit work seamlessly together. The session covers the full governance chain, from defining risk appetite, to building value adding control systems that go beyond financial reporting and truly support operations and compliance. It highlights the evolving role of internal audit as a focused assurance and insight provider for executive management and the board, the importance of close collaboration with compliance, and the use of “Assurance Maps” to identify overlaps, gaps and blind spots across key risks.
The presentation concludes by emphasising the critical role of tone at the top, organisational culture and the DNA of an organisation as the foundation for a strong and sustainable integrated assurance framework.
