On 15 and 19 September 2023, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) has published two documents intended to simplify the interpretation of Art. 14a and Art. 15(5) of the Swiss Ordinance on Measures in Connection with the Situation in Ukraine (hereafter: the “Ordinance”).

The documents “Interpretative Guidance for Sanctions Measures” (Auslegungshilfe für Sanktionsmassnahmen) and “Application supplement to an application for an exemption permit in accordance with Article 15 paragraph 5 of the Ordinance SR 946.231.176.72″ (Gesuchsbeilage zu einem Gesuch um eine Ausnahmebewilligung gemäss Artikel 15 Absatz 5 der Verordnung SR 946.231.176.72) can be downloaded directly from the SECO website. It should be noted that the application supplement must be submitted together with an application for an exemption in accordance with Arti. 15(5) of the Ordinance.
