On 2 October 2023, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) published the document “Interpretative Guidance for Sanctions Measures”. This amendment concerns point 2.1.4 of the document, i.e. the interpretation of Art. 14a of the Swiss Ordinance on Measures in Connection with the Situation in Ukraine (hereafter: the “Ordinance”).

Sometime before that, on 25 September 2023, the EAER amended Annex 8 to the Ordinance. Four natural persons were removed from Annex 8 and one entry was amended. The measures came into force on 26 September 2023 at 18:00 CET.
