
Mona Fahmy
Co-Chair Working Group WhistleblowingMona Fahmy is an economist (MSc, University of Zurich) with a postgraduate specialization in Economic Crime Investigation (MAS ECI). She has over 15 years of experience advising boards and senior decision-makers on enhanced due diligence, risk and compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and economic crime investigations.
She is a shareholder and partner at an intelligence and compliance firm, where she supports clients on complex integrity, reputational, and regulatory matters, combining economic analysis with investigative methods and Open Source Intelligence. Her professional background includes senior leadership roles in compliance and investigation-focused companies, as well as advisory and subject-matter expert functions.
In addition, Mona Fahmy brings more than 18 years of experience in investigative journalism, specializing in economic and organized crime, terrorism, wildlife crime, and the political economy of the Middle East and Africa.
She is a lecturer at Swiss universities of applied sciences and has served since 2008 as Vice President of the Board of the Swiss Experts in Economic Crime Investigation (SEECI).
